The Crimson Spider Orchid is unique to the Albury, Chiltern and Dederang areas. It is fragile and endangered. But there is new hope.
In 2015 Albury City unveiled a sculpture of the Crimson Spider Orchid by Warren Langley.
A local botanical artist has had the opportunity to create a work representing our region's endangered Crimson Spider Orchid.
Florilegium: a collection of paintings of plants, drawn from life and depicted with botanical accuracy. Albury's Florilegium is a collection of 41 botanical paintings by local artists, representing plants from our Botanical Gardens.
Saad and Shefia Abikhair operated their Emporium from 1928 until 1996 and over that period, little changed. In 1990, Margaret Baker was kindly permitted to take some photos.
